Ways to Volunteer

Coordinating Team & Game-Day Activities

Volunteers play an essential role on game days and during team bonding. As a coordinator, you might organize social events that bring players closer together, build trust among teammates, and foster a sense of unity. On game days, you can assist with responsibilities such as scoring, line judging, set-up, and clean-up. Serving as a “team mom” or “team dad” is another impactful way to help: you’ll communicate schedules, share important updates with parents, and ensure everyone stays informed.

Administrative and Event Support

Behind-the-scenes tasks are just as important for maintaining smooth operations. You might help plan and oversee camps, tournaments, and special events, or you could lend a hand with office tasks such as data entry and outreach. By providing this administrative support, you strengthen the foundation that allows all our programs to run efficiently.

Specialized Skills

Your unique talents can also make a tremendous difference to West Coast Impact. Skills in photography and videography help capture memorable moments, while expertise in sports medicine or physical therapy ensures our athletes stay healthy. Volunteers with financial management or bookkeeping skills can assist in budgeting and fundraising, and PR or communications professionals can raise awareness about our events and programs. No matter your specialty, there’s a place for your contribution.

Coaching & Mentorship

For those eager to have a direct impact on players’ lives, coaching and mentorship opportunities await. Head coaches and assistant coaches are often volunteer parents, alumni, or community members who pass background checks, complete training, and share our faith-based values. Whether you have formal coaching experience or simply a passion for guiding young athletes, this role helps shape their athletic skills and character growth.

Volunteer Benefits

When you volunteer with West Coast Impact, you’ll experience personal growth, develop leadership and communication skills, and see firsthand how your efforts uplift young athletes. You’ll also connect with like-minded individuals who share your commitment to community and faith. This network of caring supporters helps create an environment where everyone—athletes, families, and volunteers alike—can thrive.
